How to Be a Computer Geek/Wicked Video Gamer
This is a post that will explain how to be a wicked video gamer and a computer geek, and if you want a geek in itself. Lots of people think geeks are nerds but they are full of intellegence and a young and optimistic mind.
Steps
- Dress the part, you can dress anyway you want.
- Get a normal shirt. Generally a black one with a logo will do just fine (any logo will do).
- Get a button up shirt with long or short sleeves, doesn't matter. generally if you have one with long sleeves, roll them up.
- Grow you hair long a bit. You can have it growing any length you want.
- Generally you should also have you hair neatly combed.
- Wear slightly baggy pants (if its winter or cold out) and shorts the go just below your knees in the summer.
- Wear shoes an socks and get a few wrist bracelets.
- If you want you can wear a USB stick around your neck if you want gloves.
- For video gaming, generally play stuff like Battlefield 2, F.E.A.R., MMORPG games (World of Warcraft is an excellent MMORPG and so is MapleStory), Metroid, Medal of Honor, just basically any shooting games, zombie games, and horror games. Gears of War is an excellent game, too.
- Learn stuff about computers. As much as you can. Learn a few basic hacking skills too, as well as basic repairs, and procedures.
- Learn a computer language. A great starter is KPL (kids programming language) cause its REALLY EASY and its a good starter. Then move onto C++,C,Python etc.
- Learn binary (optional)
- Learn HTML (preferably XHTML), CSS, PHP, and Javascript at w3schools.com
- Learn 1337. This is generally how gamers talk online. Words such as noob, pwned, fugly, w00t, etc. are used.
- Watch star wars, star trek, zombie killing movies, horror movies, war movies, and Hogan's Heroes

Tips
- You have definitely got to learn not to TAKE THINGS PERSONALLY WHEN PEOPLE CALL YOU NAMES AN STUFF ONLINE!!!
- Put a sign on your bedroom door and or computer room door with something geeky or something on it.
- Get USB sticks.
- Look up a bunch of stuff to learn more about being a geek.

- Geeks generally get pushed around..careful of this.
